What Does greenlight mean?
We seek out projects that we believe are not just winners, conceptually but money-makers with a clear, marketable path to distribution and visibility.
We put our money into these projects first, inspiring the confidence of others to follow suit.
Together with our partners, we have the ability to fully finance films where we see a path to distribution.
Who Are We?
After meeting in graduate school at the UCLA Professional School for Screenwriting, Max Mezrah and Joshua Perline have teamed up to enhance the landscape of the film industry.
Joshua Perline
Joshua is a Los Angeles-based entrepreneur, screenwriter, producer, musician, and engineer. A UC Berkeley Computer Science graduate, he also studied Bass Performance at the California Jazz Conservatory and Acting at the American Conservatory Theater. A UCLA Professional Programs in Screenwriting alum, he won their "Best Feature Screenplay" competition.
He has co-founded startups and led teams at major companies including Discord, Twitter, and PIXL Labs, where he served as CTO. As a musician, he has performed with renowned bands including Mom Jeans and Super Cassette. In film, Joshua has contributed his expertise as a producer and writer both on set and behind the scenes.
Max Mezrah
Max has extensive writing experience writing several feature films, as well as experience securing financing & distribution. He graduated from UCLA's prestigious Professional Program in Screenwriting after working in Marketing and Finance. He went to the University of Alabama for a Double Major in Finance and Filmmaking.
One of Max's latest projects was Emmy® winning drama, The Bay, created by Gregori J. Martin.
